When is a low-budget kids’ fantasy film not a low-budget kids’ fantasy film? When the writer sits down and pens a script with $50 million’s worth of sets, creatures and digital effects. Just one of the reasons why this project never got past the production art stage. However, I got paid to sit and draw monsters for a couple of weeks, so I had no cause for complaint.
