ZOMBIE CARBURETTOR MASCOT

Sounds like a badly translated Japanese animation title, but it's actually a good description of what you see here.

I got a phone call out of the blue from a carburettor manufacturer in Georgia, U.S.A. (www.barrygrant.com). They'd liked this zombie-looking character from my Artwork gallery, and wanted to buy the rights to use him in their promotional campaigns.

This led to me creating this Photoshop incarnation of the same guy for the launch of the King Demon carburettor.

The figure was drawn freehand with a graphics tablet, and the carburettor was done with a combination of filters and geometry tools. The computer draws much better straight lines than I do.

Perhaps I shouldn't admit this, but to this day I'm still not entirely sure what a carburettor is or does...
