2001 verdict: All this time later, these still represent
some of my best work. They were completed when I was at art college and much
more in the habit of painting, so even if I redid them today I’d probably be
hard-pressed to improve on them much. Perhaps that’s more of a comment on
my stunted artistic growth than anything else, but there ya go! (Acrylic
